Its angiography suite has two cardiac catheter laboratories and an endo vascular lab. It has nine delivery suites and 42 beds, with a level five special care nursery.

On-site services include pathology and private imaging, a pharmacy, and a coffee shop. Its specialities include cardiology, neurology, general surgery, plastic and hand surgery, orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, urology, oncology and haematology.

St. Vincent’s Private Hospital at 159 Grey Street, East Melbourne is a 164-bed facility with private and shared en suite bathrooms. It also has eleven theatre suites with three high-dependency units, a surgical admissions unit, a paediatric unit, a procedure unit, a day chemotherapy unit, and a sleep studies unit.

On-site services include pathology, MIA imaging such as MRI and CT, a pharmacy, and a coffee shop. Its specialities are EENT, orthopaedics, urology, oncology, paediatrics, rehabilitation, ophthalmology, plastic surgery and general surgery.

St. Vincent’s Private Hospital at 5 Studley Avenue, Kew is a smaller hospital with 56 beds. It has a theatre suite, which accommodates four general operating rooms, a day procedure unit, and a high dependency unit.

On-site services cater to pathology cases and MIA imaging whilst its specialities are ophthalmology, orthopaedics, fasciomaxillary surgery, and plastic surgery.

Werribee’s St. Vincent’s Private Hospital at 240 Hoppers Lane, Werribee is a private hospital that has an aged care facility. Its services also include gynaecology, maternity, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and support services.

Accessibility

Melbourne Private Hospitals are accessible through trams, buses and metro trains. For the Fritzroy facility, you can go there by train, followed by a short walk. If you’re going by tram, take 109 Box Hills Trams; 112 West Preston Trams; and 24 North Balwyn Trams. They will bring you to a stop outside the hospital. To East Melbourne, you can actually take a stroll along Clarendon Street from Jolimont Station or get off from the Parliament Station and have a short walk through Fritzroy Gardens. Kew’s Melbourne Private hospital, on the other hand, is accessible by bus only.

Visitor and Staff Parking in Melbourne Private Hospitals

A multi-storey car park is located just behind the hospital on Fritzroy Street. Its automated ticket machines can take cash or credit for your hourly parking rates.

In East Melbourne, a car park is just across the road from the hospital, which is actually open from 6am to 10:30pm. Rates range from $8.50 an hour to a maximum of $30 a day. If you have to return to the hospital after 10:30pm or be there before 6am, the security personnel can attend to your queries.

There are limited parking spaces within the vicinity of Kew, but restricted parking spaces are also available in neighbouring streets.

In general, staff parking is free or subsidised and requires the presentation of the staff member’s identification card.
