Cancellation Policy

Just in case...

There are a variety of reasons that members may want to cancel a booking (some normal, some unusual). We understand circumstances can change, so our Cancellation Policy aims to be straightforward and protect both parties who have entered into an agreement.

We ask that both our Hosts and Drivers provide one month’s notice when cancelling a booking. The notice period in the case of the Driver, allows them to organise an alternative parking space and for the Host provides them a chance to find another renter.

What does this policy cover?

This policy applies to members who want to cancel a booking. Examples of a cancellation may be:

- I moved office locations

- I sold my car

- I found something closer

- I found something cheaper

- I changed my mind

- I am moving properties

If the space you have booked doesn't match the description, is not available on the day you booked, the address is inaccurate or your car doesn't fit, please refer to our Money Back Guarantee. To report this type of issue with your parking space, please login to your dashboard and select the 'Options > Report Issue' button.

When is a booking a booking?

Once you make a booking request, this is an offer that can't be revoked by the person who submits the request. Once sent, it’s up to the landlord to accept or decline the booking. If the booking is accepted, then this is a binding agreement by both parties to use and lease the space for the agreed period. If you’re unsure about booking and have further questions about the space please use the ‘Contact Owner’ button.

Please note: Unfortunately, there is no 'cooling off' period for property leases. Even though you have made an online payment this does not apply. A property lease is a non-refundable purchase, unlike goods or services.

How do I cancel my booking?

Why is the policy like this?

Our policy has evolved since we started the business. We have conducted research with our members and also learnt from past experiences.  We feel that this policy is the best for both parties and provides the fairest outcome. The policy is in place for both parties and is the same for every booking.

We have this policy in place because if every driver just cancelled without notice, people wouldn't lease their car park. Likewise if landlords just cancelled without notice, drivers wouldn't book parking.

Ultimately, if you would like to discuss the matter further, please contact the other party directly to negotiate your specific cancellation terms. If both parties agree to different cancellation terms, that is fine, please include this when you email us requesting the cancellation.
