Question 7

Where can I find free parking in Auchenflower?

Accepted Answer

Free parking in Auchenflower is generally limited, particularly for extended periods. Due to its proximity to the Wesley Hospital and its residential nature, many on-street parking spaces have time restrictions, such as 1-hour or 2-hour limits, especially during business hours on weekdays. These restrictions are enforced by Brisbane City Council to manage demand and ensure turnover.

Some residential streets may offer less restricted parking further away from the main hospital precinct and Auchenflower train station, but these spots can be competitive and may still have time limits. Always check signage carefully, as parking rules can vary street by street. Finding untimed or unrestricted free parking for long durations is challenging and often requires parking a significant distance from key facilities.
