To use this park bay, you need to be the first to go in from the lane, as the other advertised car bay must park behind you. If you arrive late in the day, it is better to pick car bay 1. Alternatively, you can access this carbay from the garage next door as per the diagram in the photos. Park at your own risk. Line up your car fully straight before advancing carefully into the car bay, retracting your rear-view mirrors beforehand. There is an area painted with yellow criss/cross pattern on the ground that leaves space so that you can line-up properly (see photo). Do not try to simply glide into the space from the lane because the angle is too tight and you may damage your car. This carbay is best accessed through a laneway parallel to Hay st. You can enter it at the shop called 'La Vida' on Coghlan Rd. Or through Churchill Ave, along the Grand Lodge of Western Australia. The Churchill way is trickier/narrower than the other way. Be careful of other cars as many park along the lane.
