Parking at Newcastle Airport, Williamtown Drive, Williamtown, New South Wales, Australia:

Getting to the Domestic/International Terminal

Newcastle Airport only has one terminal that manages both domestic and international flights. There are short and long term parking options at the airport if you wish to drive. If you don’t want to park at the airport, there are two public bus companies that service Newcastle Airport. One operates between the airport and Newcastle train station, and other other stops at the airport, Maitland, Raymond Terrace, and Stockton.

If you are being picked up or dropped off, there is a designated drop-off zone located just outside of the terminal. Be careful with this area as you are only allowed two minutes for dropping off or getting picked up so timing is crucial, otherwise there is short term parking that you can use.

Short-term Stays

Newcastle Airport parking has five car parks for you to choose from. You can find the short-term car park directly across from the terminal. It is usually used for picking up and dropping off passengers. The fees start at $4 for the first half hour and cost $31 from 5 to 24 hours. Buses are also available to get you to and from the airport, as well as taxi services. From within the airport’s vicinity, an airport shuttle service can take departing passengers directly to the gates of the terminal.

Long-term Stays

Two car parks are available for long term parking at the Newcastle Airport. You can find one behind the Short Stay Car Park and across from the terminal. The other is about 400 meters east of the terminal, and you can get to it through the undercover walkway.

In addition, you can also park your car at the Long Stay Saver Car Park, which you can find along the main airport road. From there, you can get to the terminal via a shuttle service which is free of charge. You may want to use the Premium Car Park, an undercover parking area that is locked from 10 in the evening onwards to ensure your car’s security throughout the night. It is located 200 meters from the airport terminal, and is accessible via the undercover walkway.

Long term parking at the Newcastle Airport costs $25 for the first day. If you are staying for one week, it will cost approximately $104. Rates at the Long Stay Saver Car Park start at $2.50 for the first hour and $19 from three to 24 hours while the rates at the Premium Car Park starts at $35 on the first day and costs $245 for seven days.
