Sunshine Plaza
Highlights of Sunshine Plaza
Sunshine Plaza has been home to the biggest shopping centre in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast since 1994. A variety of specialty stores can be found within the centre. Your family will surely enjoy all the shows within the 12-screen Birch Carroll and Coyle Cinema or the natural beauty of the Cornmeal Creek. Events such as Riverwalk Entertainment and Creative Incubator will provide you a sense of community within the shopping centre.
Parking Options for Visitors
For parking, you may visit the Sunshine Plaza’s dedicated parking space for its visitors. Sunshine Plaza parking space can house over 3,000 vehicles at a time, with free parking for the first three hours of your stay. The rate goes up by one to two dollars per additional 30 minutes of stay whilst a maximum stay of more than seven hours can be availed for $20. The parking space boasts of a Smart Park feature where drivers will not need any card for their entry and exit.
Currently, Sunshine Plaza is undergoing a $400-million active expansion to its dedicated parking space, which will increase its maximum capacity to nearly 5,000. At the moment, the facility is unable to meet the demand for parking spaces, especially during peak days or holidays. Peninsula Square parking may also be availed for $24 per hour of stay from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, the rate goes down to $16 per hour with a 24-hour parking option at $80. Middle-sized and large-sized vehicles may also avail of a spot but with a fixed long-term stay rate. The space is the nearest spot in the heart of the Sunshine Plaza shops. Hang Fung Industrial Building also offers its dedicated parking at $15 for 45 minutes. An addition of $25 may be charged per extra hour of stay whilst large vehicles may be accommodated for $40 per hour of stay. The vicinity is gated with a roaming guard on duty at all times.
Near the center of the Plaza also lies the Conic Investment Building parking space. The gated vicinity may be used by middle-sized vehicles for $26 per hour and by large vehicles such as trucks and buses for $32 per hour. A 24-hour service may be obtained for $120 from Friday to Sunday. You may also consider the cheaper but farther option in the vicinity of The Laguna Mall. This mall offers parking spaces for $14 per hour of parking and a $130 one-time fee for overnight parking from 8 PM to 8 AM. The space houses over 200 spots and is set underground. Meanwhile, there is an open-space parking spot near Bailey Street, which can be used by buses and trucks for $30 per two hours, with an addition of $15 per extra hour. Daytime parking from 8 AM to 6 PM may be availed for $90. Middle-sized vehicles may also avail of a spot there at a per-hour rate of $16.

The staff members of stores within the Sunshine Plaza may avail of discounts and reimbursements from the management of their respective workplaces or from the managers of the mall. Workers are advised to take the underground spaces provided by the Sino Parking Services within the Sunshine Plaza parking as it is the nearest parking area to the complex.
