Parking near Revelation Perth International Film Festival
Australia’s Leading Independent Film Festival
Revelation Perth International Film Festival in Perth, Western Australia is an annual gathering of film makers, artists, and fans to celebrate cinematography—both contemporary and classic.
Established by Revelation Magazine in 1997, the festival’s main purpose is to maintain the artistic value of the cinema. It aims to showcase ideas in contemporary independent film and find a place for them in a conservative social environment and cinema. They highlight the pivotal creative points made over time.
Members of the festival see over 500 independent films – local and international – and screen experimental, documentary, and short independent films for every year’s event.
If you are someone who has passion for cinematography or are simply a movie fan, this is a perfect event for you. It is also a celebration of music, with 17 bands performing. It usually includes film screenings, industry discussion sessions, live performances, masterclasses, visual art exhibitions, and an academic component. The event includes more than 120 international films that are shown in bars, cafes, galleries, and cinemas across Perth.
Revelation is expected to attract more than 12,000 patrons and 50 national and international guests over the period of 13 days.
