Getting to the Domestic and International Airport
If you are not planning to bring your car to the airport, it’s easy to catch public transportation. As it is only six miles away from the city centre, there are many different ways to get to your terminal. From Central Station, it takes approximately 13 minutes to get to Sydney Airport by train. Take the T2 Airport, Inner West and South Line on Platform 23 to get to the Domestic and International Terminals. You can also use the airport express trip if you want to get to the airport as quickly as possible. A train ride will cost you somewhere between $14 and $20. You can also catch the Route 400 bus that goes from Burwood to Bondi Junction. This bus route stops at Terminal 3.
Most of the main hotels in the city centre offer a direct airport shuttle service. This should cost you less than $20 but be prepared for overcrowding and long delays as they are usually a popular service. For those who wish to travel in a private vehicle, a cab fare from the City Centre to the Airport will cost you around $30.
If you have decided to park at Sydney Airport, International P7 is a multi-story carpark with 1,000's of parking bays directly across from the International Terminal 1 for all international flights. For Domestic Terminal Parking, it is recommended you park at P1, which is located in between Terminals 2 and 3. Both these car parks are undercover and you can pay by credit card or cash. There are other options like park & fly, even a car wash and valet parking too.
